Ibizans are undoubtably one of the oldest breed of dog. They bear an unmistakable resemblance to drawings, paintings, and statues dating back to 3000 B.C. They come from an Island called "Ibiza". In Ibiza, they are known as the 'Podenco Ibicenco'. The dog with the air of a doe.
As an Ibizan owner for many years, I can honestly say that they are sweetest dogs I have ever had the pleasure to be with. Great with other dogs and a perfect family member. Ibizans are very clean, have an even temperament, are affectionate and loyal and are very good with children. The puppies are trainable, loving and very cute.
